Quail

Quail, a small game bird known for its tender meat and rich flavour, has been a culinary delicacy across various cultures for centuries. Despite its small size, quail offers a succulent and flavorful meat, making it a prized ingredient in gourmet dishes. Its mild yet distinctive taste lends itself well to a variety of cooking methods, including roasting, grilling, and braising.

In Indian cuisine, quail, known as Bater, is often marinated with spices and cooked in rich gravies or grilled to perfection in tandoors. Quail dishes are cherished for their delicate texture and aromatic flavour, providing a delightful alternative to chicken or other poultry.

Beyond its taste, quail is also nutritious, being a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals like iron and zinc. Quail eggs, smaller and richer than chicken eggs, are equally valued for their nutritional benefits. Whether prepared simply or in elaborate dishes, quail offers a gourmet dining experience.
