Yogurt

Yoghurt is a creamy, tangy dairy product made through the fermentation of milk with live bacteria cultures. This nutritious food is revered for its health benefits, including being an excellent source of protein, calcium, and essential vitamins such as B12.

Rich in probiotics, yoghurt supports gut health by promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria, which can enhance digestion and boost the immune system. Its versatile nature makes it a staple in many cuisines worldwide, enjoyed plain or flavoured, and used in smoothies, dressings, and desserts.

In Indian cuisine, yoghurt is often served as raita alongside spicy dishes to balance flavours, while in Mediterranean diets, it’s a key ingredient in sauces like tzatziki. Yoghurt can also be used as a base for marinades, providing tenderness to meats. Whether consumed as a snack, a part of a meal, or incorporated into recipes, yoghurt is a delicious and wholesome addition to any diet.
