Zucchini

Zucchini, also known as courgette, is a summer squash that belongs to the Cucurbita pepo family. Renowned for its mild flavour and tender texture, zucchini is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of dishes, making it a staple in many kitchens.

Rich in vitamins A and C, as well as potassium and fibre, zucchini is a nutritious addition to any meal. It can be enjoyed raw in salads, spiralized into noodles, sautéed, grilled, or roasted to enhance its natural sweetness.

Zucchini is particularly popular in Mediterranean and Italian cuisines, where it is often featured in ratatouille, pasta dishes, and frittatas. It is also commonly used in baked goods like zucchini bread or muffins, adding moisture and a subtle sweetness. Low in calories yet high in nutrients, zucchini is an excellent choice for those looking to incorporate healthy, flavorful vegetables into their diet.
